The Activities Director schedules a variety of activities for each day. Activities reflect the interests of our participants and are therapeutic, meaningful and most of all fun!

Activities include:

Today I thank God for coming to a place every day, which is open from Monday to Sunday in which I have found a large and admirable family. This place I consider as my second home. Here we are offered all types of care. A staff that has a great capacity to impart love and help us forget all the woes that beset our ages. Here we can develop as thinking and creative individuals.

We are offered various entertainment, trips to the beach, parks, shops, and amongst many other places. This place has also given us an opportunity to volunteer in different activities. For example, one day it occurred to me to ask if I could teach Citizenship classes. To my surprise I was told yes and here I am now going to both Centers doing what I love to do. No words can explain the joy and happiness I feel, each time a person becomes a U.S. citizen."

I invite you all to come to this little piece of heaven where you will not have to invest a single penny, everything is free.

Oh and I never forgot the name of this place! It's called Elmwood Adult Day Health Care Center. I hope to see you join us.

Each and every single participant in the Elmwood Adult Day Health Care Center has a special place in my heart. Their laughter, their individuality, and their gratitude are endlessly refreshing. I, like the rest of the staff, go out of my way to be on a first-name basis with each participant, and make sure they each are as comfortable and happy as they make me feel. I respect each one's unique personality and I absolutely adore and appreciate the connection I get to have with them. When I was younger, I used to say that only in dreams would someone be happy to go to work every day, saying "I love my job" and mean it. Well, thanks to the amazing participants of Elmwood Adult Day Health Care Center, that's one more dream come true.
